Swine Flu Symptoms

Swine flu (swine influenza A H1N1) symptoms are more or less the same as ordinary flu but may be a little more severe.

Typical symptoms are:

  • sudden fever
  • sudden cough

Other symptoms could include:

  • tiredness
  • aching muscles
  • headache
  • chills
  • aching joints or limbs
  • sore throat
  • runny nose
  • sneezing
  • loss of appetite
  • diarrhoea or upset stomach

The incubation period between infection and the appearance of symptoms is two to seven days.
